After almost a month of combined lock-down and partial functionality, PlayStation Network is back up and running. The PSN went down for one last maintenance yesterday but is back after a rocky start today. I was not able to access the services due to an unknown error early today but since then have been able to connect and download the InFAMOUS 2 demo. Take note that the "Welcome Back" program is not in action yet. In the mean time, buy all the games and DLC you want. By Griff Hoffmann

When you start the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2, you'll be able to start off as if you pre-ordered the original versions of the game from GameStop.
You will recieve the Terminus armor (which increases running speed, shields, and adds ammo capacity) and the M-490 Blackstorm Heavy Weapon (which fires black holes), originaly offered for pre-orders of Xbox 360 and PC copies of ME2. They will now be distributed to PS3 Mass Effect 2 players for free via PSN from day of launch until February 23. Having pre-ordered an XBox copy from GameStop I will say that the Terminus armor isn't much to look at and probably isn't nice enough to make you want to wear it all the time (mostly because you can't toggle the helmet off), but the M-490 Blackstorm is actually a good weapon in a pinch if you need to crush a giant mech giving you problems or make some pesky soldiers hiding behind cover go away. By John Stanhope I'm Commander Shepard and Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 is my favorite version. EA announced that Mass Effect 2 will be available for the PS3 on January 18, 2011 in North America and three days later in Europe. Since the PS3 version won't be able to load the previous save from Mass Effect (for the obvious reason of there being no PS3 Mass Effect), an interactive comic detailing the Mass Effect story will come with the game. This comic will allow the player to make the moral choices that carry over into the Mass Effect 2 universe. I'd say it's a pretty solid fix instead of just forcing the player to accept the default renegade start. Mass Effect 2 for PS3 will come with the Blood Dragon Armor, Project Overlord, Kasumi: Stolen Memory, and Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC on the Blu-ray disc. The other DLC will be accessible through the Cerberus Network. By Griff Hoffmann
Hulu Plus is now available to all PlayStation 3 users in the United States via the PlayStation Network. Now, in addition to free access to a variety of content already available on the PlayStation Network. A subscription to Hulu Plus will cost $9.99 a month, giving you access to full seasons of current TV shows from around 100 content providers, like ABC, NBC, FOX, and movies from a lot of the well-known studios in the U.S. Now you no longer need to have a PlayStation Plus subscription to gain access and you don't have to wait for an invitation from Hulu either. Beginning today, Hulu Plus is open to all PlayStation Network members in the U.S.
If you instantly watch movies and TV shows from Netflix on your PS3, here is the news you’ve been waiting for. Starting Monday, October 18, you’ll be able to instantly watch movies and TV shows without inserting a disc into your Playstation 3. In addition to eliminating the disc, there is a new interface that has much a faster browsing experience. You can now search for content directly on the device, and there will be dramatic improvements in how fast playback starts. There is even more good news for PS3 owners. Starting on Monday you’ll be able to instantly watch some movies and TV shows in 1080p resolution, listen to Dolby 5.1 channel surround sound, and view an increasing portion of the library with subtitles. This will make instantly watching movies even easy than before and maybe give me another reason to wonder why I still own the XBox. You can check out the Playstation Blog video that highlights all these features by Clicking Here By John Stanhope
